I have talked with the Minister of Transport and secured a “window of opportunity” to look at options to build an iconic cycleway for the city and to get existing plans right while still retaining government funding

Wellington should be the Mountain bike capital of New Zealand. We need to continue to maintain and develop our extensive mountain bike network.
Wellington’s Mayor must lead on this and that is my commitment.
I will get Wellington ready for the next 100 years of growth and make this city a place where future generations can thrive.
