Go Sports: Wellington is a city where lifestyle is important. We need to continue to invest in our pools, park-spaces and sports fields

• We can enhance the city’s high sport performance capacity by partnering to to build a national standard high performance centre for the Wellington region

• We should expand our sports infrastructure with another 50-metre pool at the Aquatic Centre to support growth in learn to swim and aquatic sport

• We have signed the Capital Cup between Wellington and Beijing. Let’s look for more opportunities to use sport to promote Wellington internationally.

Wellington’s Mayor must lead on this and that is my commitment.

I will get Wellington ready for the next 100 years of growth and make this city a place where future generations can thrive.
