Community

A strong, thriving local economy will allow us to invest in social infrastructure and the community. Thriving communities are essential to a world-class progressive capital city.

  • Provide lighting and safe streets.

  • Upgrade park-spaces and sports fields.

  • Help our libraries survive in an ever-evolving digital world.

  • Work with central government on social and affordable housing as appropriate.

  • Investigate seeking support from philanthropists to enhance patient, doctor and family experiences when coping with cancer treatments in Wellington.

  • Be urban innovators and global leaders in upgrading our city places and spaces.

  • We should celebrate our diversity and ensure we are connected. I will continue to support community events, festivals and activities that highlight our wonderfully diverse city and bring people together.

  • Wellington is New Zealand’s mountain biking & walking capital. We need to continue to maintain and develop our extensive track network.
